The lamp is composed of individual components made from American Walnut wood and steel. The wooden elements are joined together using a traditional half-lap joint. The steel counterweight and suspension point maintain the lamp's balance and keep the elements together. The suspension point is intentionally off-center and can be adjusted by the user to hang the lamp in perfect balance.
